Recently, Arumdalu farmed a new blue pea plants which blue flower gained popularity as a color for tea that can change color from blue to purple when lemon water is added. However not many people knows that the flower itself is very sweet when eaten fresh after it is being plucked. The bluepea flower is added into our Arumdalu salad that gives fresh sweet note to the beautiful salad.
More interestingly, Kenikir plants, which we have localised in our farm from West Java forest, has an interesting sweet spring fragrance from the flowers, the leaves, and the leaves buds. It has sweet texture when you taste it. We turned the leaves and the buds into japanese tempura style for the salad, while leaving our customers to pluck the petals of the Kenikir flowers for their own salad themselves. Remember the childhood decision/choice/fate games by plucking petals of a flower one by one?
So, who says a salad can’t be fun like a real rain forest exploration. Inspired and ready to try? Come to Arumdalu and experience it yourself :)
