The sandy and rich with mineral soils of Belitung make many exotic plants grows in Belitung island, which most of them bear petite fruits that are loved by birds and small animals. One of them is Keremunting fruit. Keremunting plants grows like a small dessert bushes and it’s fruit is crunchy, purple in colors, and tastes sweet with a hint of nutty taste. Keremunting has been used traditionally by the locals for snacks, and also for making jam and alcoholic fermented drink.
We personally love the elegance of the flower of Keremunting plant. Sexy pinkish petals with pollen stamens dancing in golden colors during the hottest morning in dry seasons. The beauty of the flowers inspired us to appreciate Keremunting further by applying it into our artisanal personalize Arumdalu Batik.
Our Keremunting flowers pattern is designed and crafted by one of the famous Batik designer in Solo in order to make sure that our batik pattern is not just aesthetically beautiful but it should also carry the philosophical nature of Batik pattern.
